We are thrilled to announce our latest exhibition, ‘Romancing the Line’. From Thursday 15th August to Sunday 15th September, a collection of works on paper demonstrating the extraordinary draughtsmanship of artists such as Tracey Emin, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring, Henry Moore, and Antony Gormley will be on display at Hidden Gallery Bristol.
‘Figurative art’ is a term used to describe artworks that portray identifiable subjects, particularly the human figure, holding up a mirror to both construct and dismantle our sense of self. On one hand, Tracey Emin’s emotionally wrought figures confront the stark reality of being human – fallible and sensitive. On the other, Henry Moore’s more abstract reclining figures draw attention to our tangible, physical being.
Modern Masters and Contemporary Trailblazers are to be exhibited side by side, celebrating the draughtsmanship of the most eminent artists of the 20th and 21st century.
Come and see the fabulous selection at the Bristol gallery from Thursday 15th August. If you can't wait, a sample of works from the latest exhibition can be viewed and purchased below.
