From the Collection: An Iconic Collaboration
In 2004, French handbag-maker Longchamp launched its now-iconic 'Le Pliage' line. To mark the collection's tenth anniversary, Longchamp invited Emin to collaborate, and the result carried all the hallmarks of her practice, from patchwork and embroidery to her instantly recognisable handwriting. The bags told the story of an 'International Woman' in search of 'International Love,' released in a limited edition that sold out almost immediately, a fitting reflection of how sought-after Emin's work has always been.
