For your other half
Consider a vibrant lithograph by Marc Chagall for your partner. The artist established himself as a key figure in Modern art through his incredibly touching, instantly iconic imagery. His work epitomises romance, with dreamy compositions populated by flying lovers and sentimental imagery.
We also couldn't recommend Tracey Emin's work enough, especially her famous neons which feature heartfelt declarations of love.

For the art history buff
You may be reading this after Googling 'present ideas for art lovers'. In which case, this section is for you. Here's a hand-picked selection of some of the 'deep cuts' in our collection that will make art enthusiasts and collectors alike swoon.Agnes Martin's divine lithographs from her body of work 'Untitled VIII from Paintings and Drawings 1974-1990' (1991) are refined and intricate. The artist spent her life trying to harness abstract glories of being such as happiness, beauty and innocence - sentiments which are perfect for a touching Christmas gift.Eduardo Chillida's 'Felicitación Año Nuevo' (1967) (translating to 'Happy New Year'), is very fitting for the season. Chillida's sculptures are largely architectural in scale, so this hand-signed lithograph offers an accessible means to take home one of his masterpieces. -

For the friend who is 'impossible to buy for'
You cannot go wrong with a tried and tested classic, and these crowd pleasers will steal the show.
Matisse's 'Blue Nudes' are timeless. They have not only come to define the artist's late career, but also represent a significant chapter in 20th century art. Our collection of 'Blue Nude' lithographs, including 'Nu Bleu IV' (1958), originate from one of Matisse's final bodies of work known as the 'Verve Portfolio'.

For... yourself?
Christmas shopping is tiring, and you deserve a reward. While the nights get colder, escape into Picasso's 'Carnet de Californie - 15.11.55 I' (1959), a vibrant lithograph which depicts his sprawling Art Nouveau villa in Cannes. This season is all about good company. With Louise Bourgeois' 'Sewing; from Autobiographical Series' (1994), you can keep in good company all year round as this same drypoint (printed in an edition of only 35!) is also held in the Tate's collection. -
