14A Margaret's Buildings, Bath BA1 2L Open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-17:00

Come to Hidden Bath to experience our new Women in Print exhibition, where we will be showcasing original and hand-signed works by some of the greatest female artists of our time...

Bridget Riley has charted the changing times of the last 70 years without ever being anything less than entirely relevant. As an elder statesperson of the art world, Riley has forged an instantly recognisable style favouring rigour and precision.

Tracey Emin is considered one of the most prominent British artists of the contemporary art world. She is a true innovator who has broken the mould with searingly autobiographical work.

Although known predominately as a sculptor, Louise Bourgeois also created an important body of prints. This aspect of her work was concentrated towards the early and late phases of her career. After a long hiatus, she returned to printmaking in the 1980s as her work was generating increasing international acclaim. One of her key themes was the exploration of bodily experience, often with feminist and surrealistic undertones.

While known primarily as a sculptor, Barbara Hepworth made a number of important prints later in her career. Hepworth used the process of printing to work on ideas which would eventually translate into sculpture, creating an abstract sense of space, form and texture through the use of transparent smooth layers and bold mark-making.

All these brilliant artists exploit print as a key medium to communicate their ideas and, as a consequence, their print work is exceptional and highly sought after. The last two years have seen a continuing demand for their work which has to consistent growth in values with early and iconic images in particular demand.

Bringing together some of these artists' most iconic works, this exhibition represents a significant chapter in modern art. Running from Thursday 24th November.
