Two Great British Artists

Celebrating two legends of contemporary British art

This week we bring you a selection of work juxtaposing two of the UK's most celebrated artists.

Bridget Riley and her contemporary David Hockney have charted the changing times of the last 70 years without ever being anything less than entirely relevant. Both elder statespersons of the art world have forged instantly recognisable styles; with one favouring rigour and precision whilst the other fluidity and impressionism.

Both artists exploit print as a key medium to communicate their ideas and as a consequence their print work is exceptional and highly sought after. The last two years have seen a continuing demand for their work which has to consistent growth in values with early and iconic images in particular demand.
