From the 13th July - 3rd August, Hidden Gallery Bath will be exhibiting 'Made in Paris'. This extraordinary exhibition of original works on paper will explore the biggest names in Modern Art, specifically the pre-eminent masters who established Paris as the world’s art capital.
Throughout the 20th century, Paris was a magnet for radical artistic change, with a supremely avant-garde reputation. The city became renowned for its strong colony of artists who developed both friendships and rivalries that bolstered each of their individual careers.
"Paris! No word sounded sweeter to me!" - Marc Chagall
"Made in Paris" will showcase original etchings, lithographs, and exhibition posters created in some of the most acclaimed ateliers of the time. Artworks by luminaries such as Matisse, Léger, Miró, Chagall, Magritte, Picasso and Munch will be on display, bringing 'The City of Light' to Bath.
The Bath gallery is open from 10am - 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. For more information, call 01225 251005 or email ellie@hiddengallery.co.uk.
