  • At Hidden, we pride ourselves on offering museum quality works, bringing untouchable art within reach. A number of artworks from our collection are also held by some of the biggest art institutions worldwide to include the Museum of Modern Art, The British Museum and Tate Britain.

There is no better way to understand the significance of editions and works on paper than to look at the print collections of museums and public galleries. The British Museum’s Department of Prints and Drawings hold one of the greatest collections of works on paper with 2 million prints and 50,000 drawings by the likes of Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Hogarth, Goya and Picasso.

Whether you’re drawn to Mondrian’s geometric precision, Picasso’s masterful etchings, or Hockney’s whimsical illustrations, our selection represents a rare chance to acquire historically significant works. Explore our collection and invest in art with a legacy that spans the world’s greatest galleries.

  • Henry Moore 'Reclining Figure Against Sea and Rocks' (1978)

Henry Moore "Reclining Figure Against Sea and Rocks" (1978)

    £2,500

Henry Moore "Reclining Figure Against Sea and Rocks" (1978)

    Held by Tate Britain, London

Henry Moore produced a set of four lithographs to accompany the first 200 copies of the Norwegian edition of the book Henry Moore: Sculptures in Landscape, published by J M Stemersens Forlag AS, Oslo 1978.

The lithographs produced for the book follow the theme of the monograph in so far as Moore wished to show his sculpture in landscape settings. The sculpture subjects are real enough but the landscapes are imaginary, hovering halfway between fantasy and reality, returning to the Piranesi-like images of some Elephant Skull etchings, though here produced in soft dreamlike shapes colours.

  • Pablo Picasso 'Le Repos de Sculpteur IV' (1933)
Pablo Picasso "Le Repos de Sculpteur IV" (1933)
    £16,950

Pablo Picasso "Le Repos de Sculpteur IV" (1933)

A full set is held by The British Museum, London, and MoMA, New York

A monumental series of 100 etchings made by Picasso in exchange for paintings by Renoir and Cezanne, the Vollard Suite is the crowning glory of Picasso's work as a printmaker.

Picasso worked on the project sporadically up until 1937, incorporating etchings that he had been producing since 1930 towards the final total. The spring of 1933 - when this piece was created - was a particularly rich period of activity, and some of the finest prints in the series were produced at this time.

Pablo Picasso "Braggart in his Sunday Best behind the Scenes of a Circus" (1968)

Impressions from the 347 Series are held by The British Museum, London; The Metropolitan Museum, New York, and the Picasso Museum, Barcelona

At the age of 86, Picasso produced an explosive body of prints. Between March and October 1968, he dedicated himself exclusively to the production of etchings, producing 347 original prints in just 204 days. They're known collectively as the 347 Series and are some of his most sought-after works.

They read like a personal diary, with each one obsessively dated and annotated. Across these images Picasso records his experiences, desires and imaginings, taking on the shifting guise of artist, buffoon, faun and jester.

  • David Hockney 'The Church Tower and The Clock' (1969)

David Hockney "The Church Tower and The Clock" (1969)

    £12,000

David Hockney "The Church Tower and The Clock" (1969)

Editions are held in collections such as MoMA, New York; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the V&A, London

Hockney designed the 39 etchings that illustrate six revisited Grimm fairy tales - The Little Sea Hare, Fundevogel, Rapunzel, The Boy Who Left Home to Learn Fear, Old Rinkrank, and Rumpelstilzchen - between May and November 1969.

Drawn directly onto copper plates, they give life to these traditional stories in a style which is profoundly his own, seamlessly blending farcical and grotesque, comedic and earnest, profane and art-historical references.
