Operations ManagerHaving studied Photography in my hometown of Bristol, I moved to London in 2010 to pursue job opportunities in the arts. I found myself excelling in a corporate environment, moving up through the ranks in Operations.
Still determined to stay connected to my creative aspirations, I curated art shows in the City offices. After having my second baby, I took a step back to reflect on my original reason for coming to London and received an offer at a reputable commercial art gallery as an Operations Manager where I spent 3 years.
I’m excited to return to Bristol and apply my experience to Hidden gallery.

Chris Kendall
OwnerThe Hidden Galleries are owned and run by me, Chris Kendall. I'm a Yorkshireman/Bristolian hybrid, which explains my love of pork pies and cider, brass bands and Massive Attack. After departing the Lake District in a tank top and a beret to join the RAF in 1978, I moved on to work for the government and run businesses in retail and publishing before finally realising my dream of playing for Bradford City opening an art gallery.
My life as a collector started with a pair of Dali etchings and then over time gathering a small collection. I loved finding exciting works of art, and experiencing the thrill of owning and sharing these incredible slices of history.
So, in 2014 Hidden was born with a plan to offer not only the best art by the most notable artists, but to change the perception of what a gallery is. We offer serious art, in a fun, relaxed environment, with all the help you need from our knowledgeable and approachable team.
At Hidden in Bristol, Brighton & London you will find work in a variety of mediums by renowned artists, from Picasso and Matisse to Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Banksy alongside inspirational art by carefully chosen contemporary artists.
