Amy Hampshire

Gallery Associate

Amy is a Gallery Assistant for Hidden Gallery Bristol, originating from Worcester. Throughout her education, Amy cultivated a love for modern art by studying A Level Fine Art, taking life drawing classes at university and escaping to exhibitions as frequently as was possible. She read English Literature at the University of Birmingham, a course that enabled her to study the relationship between literature and contemporaneous art movements. A keen modernist reader, Amy’s dissertation culminated in a discussion of art and place, pertaining to Picasso’s Parisian coterie during the twentieth century’s embryonic years.

Amy’s career in the industry begins in Bristol where she continues to learn about art’s business end and the artists she admires – David Hockney, Victor Pasmore and Keith Haring to name but a few! – for a living.
