Framed work, when hung on a wall, will generally be exposed to varying levels of light. Both sunlight and interior lighting carry damaging UV rays which can cause paper to discolour and inks to fade. We offer several types of glazing, which offer a range of protection to UV light.

    99.6% Anti-UV Glass

As the name suggests, this conservation-grade glass blocks out 99.6% of UV rays from your artwork, which greatly reduces the fading process.

    Museum Grade Glass

Like the Anti-UV Glass, this glass blocks out 99.6% of UV rays. It also has an anti-reflective coating for optimum clarity.

    Anti-Reflective Glass

Like the name suggests, this glass has an anti-reflective film for optimum clarity. However, unlike the previous two options, it is not conservation standard as it only offers 70% UV protection.

    Float Glass

A budget-friendly glass, that is neither anti-reflective or conservation standard.

    Anti-UV Acrylic

For framing larger pieces, conservation standard acrylic can be used to reduce the weight of the frame.

Please note, we reccommend that you hang all artwork away from direct sunlight as even  0.4% of UV rays can cause fading over a long period of time
