Roy Lichtenstein used just a handful of colours to paint 'Cold Shoulder' -red, yellow, black, white- alongside his characteristic hard edged lines. The simple composition of the back of a blonde woman's head, uttering a trailing 'hello' is both dramatic and humorous. This image represents the Pop artist's early work.
