This original lithograph comes from the beautifully created survey of one hundred and two post-war exhibition posters produced in 1959, by the Mourlot Studio. Included in this collection are lithographs by Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Raoul Dufy, Fernand Leger, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, and Pablo Picasso.


In 1933 the Kunsthalle Basel held a major retrospective of Chagall's work. This lithograph depicts the poster that was designed for the occasion.
